Really Really Free Night Market

Dovercourt Park Community Association hosted  Really Really Free Night Market on October 5 from 7 – 11pm in Dovercourt Park on the evening of Nuit Blanche, Toronto’s city-wide, all-night art event.

The Rules Were:

  • take what you need and give what you can
  • no monetary exchange, trading, swapping, holding or credit
  • items must be: clean, gently-used, in good working order and walkable or bikeable (no large furniture or appliances)

Our community gained more than just stuff that night, it gained deeper connections. Remaining items were donated to local charities such as Sistering and Eva’s Initiative and local Ontario Early Years Centre. Our Volunteers were in great company, with help from Dovercourt Boys & Girls Club, Davenport Neighbourhood Association, the Ryersonian, and from all across our community, people helped coordinate displays, take pictures and welcome people.

A Big Thank you to them, and our volunteers. Without your help, this wouldn’t be possible.
